Un po' come la trilogia a fumetti, questo prequel può servire come antipasto introduttivo per chi ha intenzione di avvicinarsi alla serie.
Presenta brevemente i personaggi, imbastisce una mezza storia fine a se stessa e offre uno spaccato sulla relazione tra Odd e Stormy.
Un contentino per chi ha già letto almeno un libro della serie, deludente se si cercava qualcosa di profondo o rivelatore.
Divertente ma non esaltante, buono come ingranaggio della macchina acchiappasoldi.
